Belated...

Finally got the "care package" ready to ship to mom & dad. Pretty bad .... this package is soooooooooooooo delayed. Sorry!

Trying daughter

Our daughter was VERY trying this weekend. I have lost my patience countless times and lost my cool at the mall. When hubby asked if she was naughty today, she nodded. :-) Is this what they called the terrible twos? Geezzz....tension is also higher because we have not found an outfit for her to wear to sis-in-laws' wedding next week. She refuses to wear a dress or a skirt. Hubby and I agreed we would just let her wear her normal clothes but we know everyone wanted her to dress up. I'm so glad we did not let her be the flower girl - what a mess that would be.

Phenomenon

I finally saw this 1996 John Travolta movie - it's pretty good. I cried so much. So used to all his bad guy movies, this one is a nice change.

Yah baby...

Played with my old partner today. That was fun. What's better is I beat him but that's because he has not played for awhile since he ditched me as a partner for classes. :-) He was dying to tell me what my score was at the 9th tee box. I did not want to know, I never do. I was not thinking of my swing, the evening or my alignment problem. I walk up to my ball and just hit. Then, Dad and I will just chat as we walk up to our next shot. What I did do is try out the lag Dad taught me - OMG! My swing was effortless. My grip was light and I can feel the "pause" and "flick" at the very end. I had a great time today.

In-laws visit

So far I cannot complain. Our house is squeeky clean. Everyday I come home, I pay close attention to what was improved - a trimmed bush, a hook for the hair dryer that never belonged anywhere in the bathroom, a new closet (after all the junk we've been hiding miraculously disappeared) - and the list goes on. Some days, my sis-in-law drops them off at the mall for a few hours and emptiness envelopes the house. Only indication that they were there was the weighing machine set to kgs instead of lbs. So thankful they are here.

46

I broke the cycle! Everytime I hit a low round, I have proven (by data) that a high round will show up the week after. This time it did not. Did not play great but I sure putted well. Such is golf. When you start to improve one part of your game, another deteriotes. Having dad as a partner has its rewards. He's straightening out my alignment issues. I want to believe it's helping but since I do not have any sense of direction, I'm glad he's staying till the end of the league. :-)

43

Sweet 43! Started off with 3 pars and ended with a par. I kicked @!! Lowest round for the season. I could do no wrong yesterday. I had a few off drives but managed to save bogey and stopped the bleeding. On the 11th, for the first time, put my name on the closest to the pin. Don't know if I won the event but who cares - I got on the green with 10ft to the pin - best shot ever for me on that hole. I could not believe it. Dad helped with my alignment last week and I worked on it this weekend. As all things with golf, you fix one thing and another problem comes up. :-) Dad said my swing is good and now he wants me to work on power as I'm casting. Note to self: LH 3 fingers firm grip, RH grip light, RH elbow tucked in by body, cock wrist, take swing and WHIP! Oh, don't forget to use hips. Now, to the range....

New golf partner

I shot a 46 today and my new golf partner for the next 3 months is my father-in-law. Dad shot a 46 as well but said he did not play well. Ok...how am I suppose to feel about that? :-) More importantly, we kicked hubby's b***! On the last hole, hubby shot a par and when I responded a par myself, his looked at me and said "what!?" ehehehhehehe "Priceless moment"
