Fire Drop Level 44

One more level to go and Gold is mine!!! Hehehehehee...

Now, gotta keep the fingers from hitting the "Start Over" button.

Putting cured..

Had my 1st golf lesson in years with Clark Peterson / Moors last week. I learned a few tricks on chipping with my 9 and 8-iron, a club I would not even consider. For putting, I need to pick a spot about 6", aim and keep nose above the ball and roll the ball. He also validated my technique and made no changes. That also felt good.

I played at Heritage last night and was pleased with the results. I broke a 100 for 2nd time this season but it's not about the score. It's how I played the holes and it felt great. I had some blowup holes but that's partly due to the wet grounds from the continuous rain the past 3 days.

I'm ready and eager to try them out on my home course, Thornapple, this weekend.

My iPhone

I was a little skeptical about this "toy" since I used to own a blackberry BUT... it is so much more..

For starters, DD is just thrilled that I have one. She loves the speaker phone (daddy's ipod Touch does not have one) so she does not have to wear headsets for YouTube and songs. She switches between the iPhone and iTouch for the different apps we have. Yes, she is only 5!

I am hooked on Fire Drop. They just released Fire Drop Deluxe for $1.99 and the first night I got it, I made Silver (level 30). I had 3 more levels before hitting Gold (level 45) and accidentally hit the "Start Over" button instead of "Replay". The cool thing about this game is that you can replay a level when all the tiles hit the ceiling. The bad thing is the stupid "Start Over" button is so close to the "Replay" button. Urghh....back to level 1!!!! Practice makes perfect, I guess.

What I don't like and can't seem to get use to it is the using the touch screen keyboard when it comes to typing. It's pretty sensitive and my little fingers can't get the keys right. Frustrating.
My right hand is aching from all the touching (of course I won't admit the ache is probably coming from my hours of Fire Drop play).

What I do like is my phone, mail, calendar, iPod, camera, pictures and games are all in one. I missed having an online calendar and the camera phone when I turned in my Pearl from work. But an iPhone is SO MUCH MORE....hehehehe... I LIKE A LOT!!!.

Bye-bye summer 2008

Summer 2008 came and left. School started with DD going to kindergarten. We have a little wildcat in our home, not related to HSM series. I never paid attention to summer when I was working but this summer was kinda sweet. Had neighborhood lunches, watched movies (Mama Mia! is a must see for ABBA fans and it's a feel good movie), parties, great golfing and summer olympics. I'm gonna miss it but glad to have some great memories and pictures. Well, Fall is here and it's starting off right. Ryder cup next week, more golf, Fall series and cooler weather.

Eureka responds..

A couple weeks ago, I watched Eureka's episode "I do over" whereby Dr. Nathan Stark died saving Eureka. I googled looking for answers why one of the main characters was killed and did not find anything. So, I emailed Eureka and did not expect an answer. It's like the saying in "You've got mail" - just sending it out to the world. The next day, the Eureka writers REPLIED and gave me 2 links where they talked about why and how they did it. I was in cloud nine....and it made my day and week. :-D
